Life in Lockdown 🇰🇪

A Different WorldÂ
After seeing the footage and news reports from across the globe we were waiting for the arrival of Covid 19 to the shores of Africa, the first confirmed case on the 5th March brought a speedy response from our county government in Kilifi.
The county borders were closed, bars & restaurants were closed and public gatherings were made illegal. To-date it seems to have been well contained within Kilifi County and we hope it continues with this pattern as we learn to live with this virus in our midst.

Happy Birthday Kilroe HouseÂ
Before lockdown commenced we were so lucky to celebrate Kilroe House Birthday, the children had a wonderful day and as always a special prayer was said for Tim Kilroe Senior (R.I.P.)

My Favourite Place Part 1 & 2
As Domi & Peter return from their travels we were very happy to receive two wonderful blogs about their escapades while volunteering at The Good Life Orphanage & St Bernadette Mary's School in January and February !!

Life in Lockdown
Our GLO Family have quickly adjusted to Life in Lockdown, they cannot attend school, church or go for walks outside the compound. Unlike many Kenyans at the minute they are the lucky ones as they have fresh food, water and are continuing with their studies.
The highlight of the day is watching the news at 7pm where they see how Covid 19 is affecting the world, as always in Kenya watching the daily news is very important to both the staff & the children.

Thank you.
Without your ongoing support it would be impossible to give all of our children the security of a place to call home, proper medical care and a good all round education.
Together we are making a difference and for that we are very grateful.
Please share and spread the GLO word.
